(WINDSOR, ON) - The Windsor Express held a media conference today to announce the decision to sponsor Windsor Essex County Secondary School Athletic Association Championships on the official home court of the Windsor Express.
The championships will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from
10 AM to 5 PM at WFCU Centre Arena, 8787 McHugh St, Windsor, ON, prior to an Express home game against the Moncton Miracles at 7 PM.
Dartis Willis, Owner and CEO said, "Goals of Windsor Express are to
become an intricate part of the community and a part of basketball in Windsor." He continued, "We must make sure that we give opportunities for kids to play basketball at the next level in their city."

Coach Peter Cusumano, Catholic Central coach and WECSSAA convener for boy's basketball announced, "We are going to move the WECSSAA championship to the WFCU Centre. It presents a great opportunity for our kids to play on the same court as the Windsor Express, and to play in a great venue at the WFCU Centre."

Head Coach for the Windsor Express, Bill Jones said, "For the Windsor kids to come play where the Windsor Express play is going to be a great experience."

Dartis Willis ended the conference with a request. "What we're asking from the community partners is let's come together and support this for the kids."

Don't miss the next Windsor Express home game on Wednesday, February 6 against the Oshawa Power. On that day GenNext will hold their Courtside Networking Event from 5:30-9PM.
